If you’re a writer, chances are you’ve already heard of National Novel Writing Month, aka #NaNoWriMo. That’s when hundreds of thousands of writers across the globe try to write a novel with a minimum of 50,000 words during the month of November.
Although I’m not participating this year, I did just complete my own first draft writing challenge. Based on my recent experience dealing with a high daily word count goal and a short overall completion period, here are a few of my thoughts spiffed up by a nifty graphic.

Don’t worry if the details are right? I just had my hero diffuse a bomb with protection for himself and the hostage consisting of dental xray protection bibs and motorcycle helmets. I’m sure I’m going to live to regret writing that.
