Newsletter with Excerpt!

Today I sent out the latest edition of my newsletter, which includes an excerpt from WAR: Intrusion. Those of you who follow me on Twitter for #1LineWed might recognize a couple of lines. 😉

If you’ve signed up for my newsletter but don’t see this in your inbox, please check your tabs and/or your spam/junk folder. I know that Gmail sometimes puts my newsletter on a Promotions tab.

Happy reading!

#1LineWed – WATER

Today’s theme for #1LineWed on Twitter, sponsored by RWA’s Kiss of Death chapter, is WATER. I just posted one example from WAR: Intrusion, the second book in my new romantic thriller series WAR. One more will go up by the end of the day.

If you’re not on Twitter, here’s what I posted last week when the instructions were to post from page 1, 11, or 111. These are also from WAR: Intrusion. Intrusion is still a work in progress, aka WIP, so there’s no guarantee these lines will stay in the book. 😉

“With your damn paranoia toward doctors, you’re more likely to scare the doctor off than get any actionable intel.” p. 1

“I told you to stay out of trouble, Scots. Would it kill you to do as I ask for just one day?” p. 111

The silence that followed the bursts of gunfire was worse than the noise of the shooting.

Thunder cracked. She winced as the sound reverberated inside her aching skull. “I’m fine. You can go away now.”

The boom of an explosion interrupted the speaker. A child screamed in terror and pain and was answered by a woman’s howl of grief.

“I can’t imagine why he’d want to talk to me. After all, I survived when his friends and family didn’t.”

“Are you going to shoot me? Or help me calm the wee one down and return her to her family?”
