When I woke up this morning, I could tell that there was something different with the sky, because the sunlight through the blinds left orange patterns. I also smelled smoke, but had thought someone was having a fire in their fireplace.
Nope. The sky was a familiar, smoky haze.
Uh-oh!
An internet search yielded the information that Western Massachusetts has been getting smoke from the wildfires in Canada. With predictable effect on the air quality.
Yeah, I’ve been feeling a bit of déjà vu. And here I thought I’d escaped smoky skies by leaving California.
If you’re in Canada, I hope you’re safe! Fingers crossed that they get the fires under control soon.
