As we head deeper into the new year, the list of new books I’m looking forward to reading lengthens. Here’s what’s on my list so far:
Hunt the Stars by Jessie Mihalik. This is the first book in a new romantic space opera series. I loved her other series, so I preordered this book. It came out February 1st, but because I already had two other sci-fi books in my queue, it’s on my to-be-read list, right after...
House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Maas. This is Book 2 in her Crescent City urban fantasy series. It’s coming out on February 15th. I love all of her books and she's an auto-buy for me. I normally like to buy her hardcovers, but this time I preordered the ebook. Partially because I’m hoping to move this year and don’t want to add to my physical stuff right now, and partially because my back has been bothering me, so I’ve been spending time lying on the floor with my feet on the bed and it’s easier to read in that position with an ereader than with a massive hardcover. And she doesn't write skinny books.
Fated Blades by Ilona Andrews. This is a new book in the Kinsman universe. I love everything they've written, so I’ve preordered the paperback from my local indie bookstore, Flashlight Books. The release date is February 15th.
I haven’t worked out my March book budget yet, so I’ve only preordered one book that releases in March. Still, here are the books I’m looking forward to:
Spelunking Through Hell by Seanan McGuire. This is Book 11 in her Incryptid urban fantasy series. It comes out March 1st. These quirky books are a bit lighter than the October Daye series, which I also love.
Crowbones by Anne Bishop. The third book in her The World of the Others fantasy series. I LOVE the world of the Others. Both the original series and this side series. This comes out March 8th.
The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Book 4 in the Blood and Ash fantasy series. I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished Book 3. I’m so glad March 15th is almost here!
That’s it for now.
