The start of fall here in the northern hemisphere has brought with it a number of fantastic Kickstarter campaigns for writers. Here are the latest two that I’m backing:
Go Creative! Planning Program for Authors & Poets from Orna Ross.
I have trouble staying the course with planners but I have high hopes for this system because, as the description says, this is a planning method that emphasizes intuition, imagination, and flexibility as much as structure, data-driven goals, and systematic processes. So, not so rigid that I’ll feel stifled by it.

One of the latest trends in the indie author community is the focus on direct sales. (Do you know that I have a store where you can buy directly from me?)
Monica Leonelle and Russell Nohelty, well known for teaching writers how to run successful Kickstarter campaigns, are running a Kickstarter right now under their Writer MBA company. It’s called Direct Sales Mastery for Authors: The Definitive Guide. I really like their approach to figuring out how to apply direct sales to your business.

This year, Kickstarter is definitely providing a good portion of the resources I’m using to grow my business. Who knows, maybe some day I’ll even do a Kickstarter of my own!
