These are the books I’ve loved reading this holiday season:
First Reads

The Icarus Hunt by Timothy Zahn (Sci-Fi) - This is a prequel in the Icarus Saga series. I read this first and am so glad I did. It makes the later books (I’ve also read #1 and #2) make so much more sense.

A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher (Middle Grade Fantasy) - So sweet and fun!

A Tempest at Sea - Book #7 in the Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas (Historical Mystery). A twisty murder mystery on a ship.
Rereads

Throne of Glass - Book #1 in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas (Fantasy) - This was reread # who knows?? for me. I love rereading the books in this series, because I always notice something that I didn’t catch on previous rereads. (Side note: I prefer the original covers for this series, such as the one on the right, above.)

Burn for Me - Book #1 in the Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews (Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy). It’s been long enough since I read this series that it feels both brand new and comfortingly familiar.
What have you been reading and loving this holiday season?
