October 29, 2024

I haven’t had a chance to read as much in October due to putting in a lot of overtime at my day job. However, here is what I have read and enjoyed.

Cover of Passions in Death by J.D. Robb

Passions in Death by J.D. Robb (Read) - This is Book 59 in the In Death series starring futuristic detective Eve Dallas. This book had me laughing out loud several times. Necessary breaks from the serious business of murder!

Cover of Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie (Re-read) - This is one of my favorite books of hers. It still makes me laugh. Highly recommended!

Cover of A Bad Deal for the Whole Galaxy - A black background with a swirling white hole that a spaceship is flying out of.

A Bad Deal for the Whole Galaxy by Alex White (Am reading) - This is Book 2 in the Scavengers science fiction series. I found this series by giving ChatGPT a list of science fiction and space opera books I’d enjoyed and asking for recommendations for new books to try. I’m really enjoying this series, so thanks for the recommendation, Chat!

Cover for Windwitch by Susan Dennard - a grey and beige landscape with a person floating above it and wielding a sword.

Windwitch by Susan Dennard (Next-to-be-read) - This is Book 2 in the Witchlands series. I discovered this YA fantasy series after listening to a podcast interview with the author from several years ago. Another series I’m thoroughly enjoying!

What about you? What books have you enjoyed reading or are looking forward to reading?
