Not only did we get extreme heat last week, but we had three severe thunderstorm warnings. Plus, a tornado watch. (A watch is less urgent than a warning.)

Fortunately, no tornadoes touched down near me. But when I was a teenager, a tornado hit. It took off the roof of the junior high school and knocked over a tree across the street from my house.

Once in a lifetime is plenty, thanks!

So far, *knock on wood* this week has been normal.
