This fall, (Okay, it’s not technically fall yet, but between the changing light and the reduced temperatures, it sure feels like it.) I’ve been diving back into mysteries. I haven’t read much in the genre for decades, but I recently started reading the High Society Lady Detective Series by Sara Rosett. It’s a delightful historical mystery series set in the 1920’s London, perfect for fans of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, although these books are less dark than Miss Fisher’s sometimes get (based on the TV show, I haven’t read the Miss Fisher’s books).

I’ve also been watching and enjoying Only Murders in the Building starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. This is a comedic mystery.

Both of these are low-stress mysteries, which is exactly what I need. I can read books with tons of conflict, danger, and even gore, but have a much lower tolerance if I’m watching it.

What about you? What are you watching this fall?
