I’ve been a Star Wars fan since I first watched A New Hope back in 1977. Although I read the original Timothy Zahn trilogy, I hadn’t explored the rest of the Star Wars universe in much depth until the pandemic.
The pandemic introduced me to The Mandalorian. I loved it so much, I went looking for other Star Wars stories to sate my appetite. I watched the prequel movies, which I’d avoided up until then. Meh. But the prequels led me to the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I really liked it. Then I watched Star Wars: The Bad Batch and loved it. Next in my lineup was Star Wars: Rebels, which I absolutely loved.
The DVD editions of Star Wars: Rebels included episodes of a behind-the-scenes show called Rebels Recon. I love a good peek into the creative process of making a film or tv show! Once I’d watched all of those episodes, I went to Starwars.com to see what other videos I could find.
This summary of A New Hope, narrated by Ron Howard, the director of Solo: A Star Wars Story, is hilarious:
And of course, there are the two trailers for the upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi. I’m SO looking forward to this. I’m all set to grab a bowl of popcorn and settle in to watch Obi Wan’s awesomeness this Friday!
