One of the things I’d forgotten about my writing process is that, after a particularly intense writing session, I emerge in a bit of a writing fog. It takes me 5-10 minutes to adjust to existing in reality rather than in the world of my story. And sometimes, I’m quite literally blinking against daylight because I had the lights off in my office.

It’s a bit disorientating, but I don’t mind. I’m just relieved to have my creative flow back!
